That Time of the Year

With the holidays coming it is a good time to inspect possible problem areas where water can enter your home.  Use this time to check these spots while decorating in areas you typically don't look.

These areas include:

  • When you have that ladder out to hang outside lights you can check for loose roof tiles or shingles.
  • Look for loose roof flashing so it can be repaired before the winter.
  • While decorating inside it’s a good time to check for ceiling stains and water damage behind furniture.
  • Check under your sinks to look for possible water damage.

Water damage can result in mold within 24 to 48 hours.  These precautions can really help keep your home and family safe, especially during the wet weather.  This is a great time of year to take necessary precautions and avoid potentially costly problems.
